I still haven't finished this one. In my defense, with its 32 chapters and weighing in at a whooping ~1500 pages, even unfinished it's the longest thing I've ever read. So yeah, this is the database bible. It packs everything you need to know about databases, and a lot more. It has proven to be very beneficial for me, since I have to deal a lot with databases in my daily work. It might be overkill (to finish it) for the average developer though, even though I'd recommend to anyone reading at least the first 7 chapters. This book is a real gem if you plan to eventually transit to a database engineer or data scientist though.
